Due to the success of the Morgan Motor Company Bespoke Dealer Portal, we were invited to deliver a presentation at the recent Global Dealer meeting to announce recent enhancements which have contributed to a 95% increase in sales leads via the portal when comparing to the previous year.
SurCo have worked closely with the Morgan Motor Company and their specialist dealer network to help build a bespoke portal which incorporates our in-house developed Customer Relationship (CRM) & Content Management (CMS) systems.
As Morgan Motor Company are now expanding into South America, we are proud to say we are working closely with them to supply a specially customised version of the Dealer Portal which will be controlled by Global X-Sports Inc, the managing agent in that region.
Latest Website Features
Within www.morgan-motor.co.uk, visitors can also access the Morgan 3 Wheeler website to build and design their own 3 wheeler car and submit it for a quote. This feature has been a significant factor for increasing enquires.
www.morgan-motor.co.uk features a Car Locator – Vehicle Alert option which provides an email alert service when cars that match specific customer criteria are added. This has resulted in an impressive list of unique subscribers with many different specifications.

Dealership Portal Features
New elements have been added into the Vehicle Ordering system, such as providing the dealers with the ability to choose either stock, demo, customer hire or show cars. Also adding to the reporting feature with where the customer heard of Morgan.
Search enhancements which help save dealers valuable time, include the ability to enter a wide variety of part codes to speed up access to the required data.
Morgan Rescue Insurance Plan can be prefilled with the order data and automatically sent to the insurance company. New warranty data is also automatically copied over to existing warranty claims and now has the ability to attach multiple files to those claims.
Dealers can use local currency in car locator listings and emails to better serve the international consumer base. New portal users are notified of when new user accounts are added by the dealer. Dealers can also monitor and participate in the Aerotech forum allowing improved collaboration across the dealer network.
A leads funnel has been added to the dashboard of the portal along with a prompt to alert dealers that the lead is new and that they shouldn’t leave the page without further action. The Portal also has the added benefit of being able to send individual email and texts for personalisation. Open rates and link clicks can be monitored from within the portal providing vital information to each dealership.
The Portal now includes the Dealer Website or a direct link to an independent website, publicly accessible via the Dealer Locator, Car Locator and Search Engines.
The ability now also exists to make and receive telephone calls using the VoIP feature via the portal.
Content Management System Features
We have increased the maximum image upload within the Car Locator area and installed an image re-size to optimize the images for both desktop and mobile. We’ve also categorised the news articles and enabled file attachment capabilities to enhance usability.
The website is now supporting 36 images/videos to display stock both on the dealer site and in the pre-owned listing on the factory site and dynamic forms for Test Drives, Service, New Car Enquiry and More Information. Google Maps integration shows exact location, and support for dealer site content can be written in the native language.
35% of traffic is now via Mobile devices (2014) and the dealer sites will be upgraded to a fully responsive mobile friendly version with the new design early 2015 to ensure the website meets Google’s fresh focus on favouring websites which provide site visitors with this level of usability.
